Nigerian Legend, Mmadu Grabs License to Coach
Nigeria's Women's football legend, Maureen Mmadu has finally transited from the playing pitch to the technical bench as a coach after completing her C license course in Norway.
Mmadu was Saturday handed her coaching C License certificate after completing the Month long intensive course.
Mmadu recently retired from active football, a career that spanned over 15 years.
The 37 year old began her career at Ado Babes of Onitsha and went on to play for Pelican Stars and Jegede Babes in Nigeria before traveling abroad where she played for several Clubs in Sweden and Norway.
Her last club was avaldsnes IL, a top division team on Norway's West Coast where she finally called it quits in 2013 and currently with the Team as a Coach.
The Anambra State born legend is so excited with her latest achievement and she is filled with praises for her club, Avaldsnes IL.

"I was the only woman amongst the 24 men that took part in the Course and I was also the only African"
"I am Very, very happy and it was a very good experience for me,I learnt a lot as a player because I went through fantastic coaches during my career and also went through fantastic instructors here during this course, it was a different instructor week in and week out during the course, I'm really grateful to God and my team for making this possible in my life"
Mmadu had over 100 caps for Nigeria spanning 1993-2011; She appeared in 4 world cups and competed in 2 Olympic Games in 2000 and 2004.
